Waste heat recovery boiler after rotary kiln - horizontal type steam boiler

The boiler is designed as a horizontal waste heat boiler with three empty passes and utilizes the waste heat from the flue gases of a rotary kiln combustion process for various types of waste (2s 1100°C). The heating surface cleaning is carried out using a Shower Cleaning System (SCS) and pneumatic rappers. Evaporators, superheaters, and eco-bundles are integrated into the horizontal pass.

Technical data:

  • Flue gas: 47500Nm³/h, 1150°C
  • Steam production: 26t/h, 32bar(a), 330°C (+3.5t/h saturated steam for flue gas reheat)

Scope of services:

  • Thermal design
  • Design of the natural circulation system
  • Basic Engineering incl. load plan and 3d model
  • Detail Engineering incl. fabrication drawings for the steam drum
  • Guiding drawings for critical elements (headers, buckstays, supports etc.)
  • Statical calculation of the supports using FEM methods (high seismic loads)
  • Pipe stress analysis for relevant internal piping
  • Project coordination
